Kylian Mbappe was denied two goals in Real Madrid's tightly-contested 2-0 win over Mallorca after the Frenchman was adjudged to have been offside by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in both instances. The France captain has now shared the controversial confirmation image that saw his first goal chalked off, which showed Mbappe's shoulder and sleeve just barely offside.

Mbappe has carried over his form from last season so far, as the Real Madrid superstar opened his domestic campaign with three goals in the opening two games. In the eighth minute of Los Blancos' third La Liga game, it seemed that the Frenchman had grabbed his fourth league goal of the season; however, his strike was ruled out after being adjudged offside by the barest of margins by VAR.

After the game, Mbappe posted the image that VAR showed as confirmation, potentially hinting that he was hard done by the controversial automated offside decision.
