Over the past few years, sales have often been bigger stories than purchases at Elland Road.
Indeed, the likes of Chris Wood, Pontus Jansson and Kemar Roofe have all left the Yorkshire outfit despite being key players at the time of their departures.
Another man who moved away from Yorkshire for greener pastures was Ronaldo Vieira as he swapped the Championship for Serie A, but it seems Leeds made a huge mistake in letting him go as the latest transfer reports indicate that he could be sold for a huge fee before the end of the month.

What’s the story then?
The Athletic’s David Ornstein published his weekly Monday column, and there was plenty to be said about Vieira.
Both Burnley and West Ham are interested in the former Leeds man, and they’d have to pay a pretty penny to land him as Sampdoria reportedly want €20m (£16.83m) for him.
That’s over £10m more than Leeds sold him for a couple of years ago, and it indicates that United made a mistake in letting the 21-year-old go prematurely.
Regrettable mistake
This goes to show the mistake that Leeds have made. They allowed Vieira to leave before he was able to reach his full potential.
They’ve not really missed him on the pitch due to the emergence of Kalvin Phillips, who has been touted as the best player in the Championship, but who’s to say that Vieira wouldn’t have progressed in the same way under Bielsa?
If Vieira stayed and played under the Argentine, a man once heralded as the best coach in the world, there’s a chance that he could have progressed further and commanded an even higher fee.
Ok, the Whites got a decent price for the youngster, but if he ends up moving for £16.83m, the Yorkshire club will have to feel they let a promising player slip through their fingers.
Of course, it remains to be seen whether or not a deal gets finalised, or if Vieira does indeed go for that price, but for the Italian side to slap that tag on the midfielder shows that United may have missed out on a potential Premier League player.
In other news, Leeds may have signed the wrong winger.
