Michy Batshuayi has told The Times that he has no intention of making his loan move to Valencia a permanent switch, instead he is endeavouring to force his way into the first team set up with his parent club Chelsea.
What’s the word?
The Belgium international hasn’t got off to a flying start in Spain, with only the single goal for the La Liga outfit under his belt so far. However, the 24-year-old is certainly a talented and potent striker. Yet, given Chelsea’s need for a proven, prolific and world class forward, Batshuayi is unlikely to get his chance to lead the line week in week out at Stamford Bridge.
Instead, the striker ought to look to prove his Premier League credentials elsewhere. When his loan move at Valencia ends, Batshuayi should seek a permanent departure from Chelsea and find a club in England where he can be first choice.
Everton ought to make sure that they’re the club ready to offer Batshuayi this fresh start in the Premier League.
A major upgrade
Big-money January signing Cenk Tosun has failed to live up to expectations at Goodison Park, and Everton boss Marco Silva may soon lose patience with the 29-cap Turkey international and seek to sign a replacement to lead the line for the Toffees.

Whilst Batshuayi may not yet be at the level where he can stake a claim to be the main man for the Blues, he is very capable of being an asset to Everton. With a Transfermarkt valuation of £36 million, he wouldn’t come cheap, but he’d undoubtedly represent a major upgrade on Tosun.
What do you think, Everton fans – would you be glad to see Silva swoop for Batshuayi when his loan move to Valencia ends?
