Now that West Brom have finally appointed a new manager they can crack on with their plans for next season.
With as many as five players potentially leaving according to Luke Dowling, it could be a busy summer ahead for the club.
Craig Dawson and Jay Rodriguez look as though they could be two players to depart after attracting the interest of Premier League teams whilst Dwight Gayle doesn’t look as though he’ll be back at the Hawthorns after his loan deal expired.
Seeing how Slaven Bilic sets up his side next season will be fascinating, but one player who initially looked as though he may receive more game time could now be under threat.

Last week Turkish outlet Fanatik claimed that Bilic may be set for a reunion with a player he managed at Besiktas; Tolgay Arslan.
The experienced professional has the ability to play as a defensive midfielder but also as a traditional central player slightly further up the pitch.
With that in mind, Field’s place in Albion’s rebuild this summer may take a setback.
Considering that Rekeem Harper looks as though he could exit and the fact Gareth Barry and James Morrison have both been released, there is a gap to be filled in midfield.
Field showed tremendous strides last season, looking a player beyond his years in the rare first-team opportunities he was afforded.
He only played 12 times in the Championship but the more technically gifted Arslan could set him back even further. That’s assuming he takes up a role alongside Chris Brunt in the middle of the park.
Field is a good tackler but in that regard, Arslan outperforms him, completing over 2 tackles per game in the Super Lig. West Brom’s current midfielder averages 1.8 in comparison.

If Bilic is looking for someone who can also transition defence into attack, he may well prefer his former player.
In Turkey, the 28-year-old midfielder was a keen dribbler of the ball, something that can be seen by his stats on WhoScored. Field, however, is less eager to bring the ball forward himself, making just 0.3 dribbles per game.
For the time being, it appears as though Arslan is the more complete midfielder and if he does arrive there are reasons to suggest Field would be set back further.
