He has been catching the eye alongside free-scoring team-mate Borja Mayoral, who also netted in a 2-0 win over Granada, but has been urged to work harder for the team – with it important for him to start delivering 90-minute performances.
WHAT BORDALAS SAID ABOUT GREENWOOD
Bordalas has said of Greenwood: “He is a great player but everyone has a job. We are very happy with the work from Greenwood, Borja, Maxi but without everyone’s work he cannot shine. Greenwood had a great first half, although not so much in the second half. But everyone has worked for the team. They were aware of the importance of the game and finally we achieved it.”
GOALWHAT NEXT FOR GREENWOOD?
Greenwood – who saw allegations of attempted rape, controlling behaviour and assault dropped in February 2023 – is set to see out the season on loan at Getafe. United will then decide what to do with him in the summer, with it suggested that Barcelona and Atletico Madrid now sit among his many suitors.
