da dobrowin: The captain struck twice as Erik ten Hag's side came back in each half to salvage a point they barely deserved
da realbet: Bruno Fernandes lived up to his position as Manchester United captain by dragging the Red Devils back on two occasions to earn a draw at Bournemouth. There is, however, little to celebrate as Erik ten Hag's side have just three points from their last four league games. Hopes of the Champions League have disappeared and it is now a case of clinging on to Europa League qualification – or even the Conference League.
United were torn apart down their right-hand-side for the length of the first half, falling behind to Dominic Solanke's 16th-minute strike after Willy Kambwala had buckled over trying to contain the striker.
Justin Kluivert restored the Cherries' lead only five minutes after Bruno Fernandes had levelled with United's first and only shot on target of the first half. Fernandes clipped the bar just before the interval but United did not deserve to end the half level after conceding 12 shots, five of which had hit the target.
Fernandes levelled again in the second half, this time from the penalty spot after an unlucky handball by Adam Smith off a deflected Kobbie Mainoo shot. Bournemouth thought they had a penalty deep in added time but VAR spotted that Kambwala had fouled Ryan Christie outside the area and Ten Hag's side clung on for the point.

Andre Onana (7/10):
Looked one of the best of a bad bunch as his resurgent form continues. Made four saves in the first half alone.
Diogo Dalot (5/10):
Must shoulder some blame for the ragged opening 45 minutes when Bournemouth laid siege to his right wing.
Willy Kambwala (4/10):
Really struggled against Solanke, losing his feet just before the striker opened the scoring. Also not tight enough on Kluivert. Better after the break although gave away the foul which looked to have earned Bournemouth a penalty before VAR bailed him out.
Harry Maguire (6/10):
Did a decent job sweeping up the mess his fellow defenders had made.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka (6/10):
Doing an admirable job again out of position at left-back.

Kobbie Mainoo (6/10):
Passing a little loose at times but a rare player who gives control. He also sparked the equaliser when his shot resulted in Smith's handball.
Casemiro (5/10):
Very poor in the first half but regained his footing after the break as United improved.
Bruno Fernandes (7/10):
Among the goals again, with four in his last three games. His all-round play wasn't great but he's back making the difference in attack.

Alejandro Garnacho (4/10):
Had a hand in the first equaliser but was generally not on it and was particularly lax in defence, allowing the hosts too much space down his right side. Hooked at half-time for Amad.
Rasmus Hojlund (4/10):
The kindest thing you could say is he worked hard. Saw very little of the ball and had no decent chances.
Marcus Rashford (4/10):
Yet another abject display in attack. Smashed the side of the netting with his only attempt when he had to hit the target. But most of all he failed to create danger or cause Bournemouth any headaches.

Amad Diallo (6/10):
Changed the game, giving United more control and more depth.
Mason Mount (4/10):
Couldn't get involved in the 15 minutes he was on for.
Erik ten Hag (5/10):
Bringing on Amad gave United a foothold but this was another wild performance in which they should have been beaten. And three points from four games is a miserable return.
