Denmark midfielder Christian Poulsen will not cut short his spell with Liverpool according to his agent, despite a difficult start to his Anfield career.
The 30-year-old has struggled for form since his summer arrival from Juventus and was recently linked with a return to another of his former clubs, Sevilla.
However, agent Jorn Bonnesen is confident that Poulsen will see things through on Merseyside.
He told Bold.dk:"I do not comment on speculation. Christian is happy to be in Liverpool.
"He is not one that sticks his tail between his legs and runs away. He is a type that will fight for his place and prove his worth."
Meanwhile, Liverpool's new director of football strategy, Damien Comolli, says that he will not try and sign a player unless manager Roy Hodgson backs the deal wholeheartedly.
He said:"The manager's decision and the manager's opinion on a player is absolutely crucial.
"As far as I am concerned and the way I have always worked in this job, is do not bring a player in who the manager doesn't like because there's no point.
"Talking in very basic terms, if you bring a player in who the manager doesn't like you are just wasting money, that's the bottom line."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
