Pedro was a notable absentee from Brighton's 3-2 comeback win over Liverpool on Monday, with head coach Fabian Hurzeler saying he was not involved for "personal reasons". However, The Athletic states Pedro's absence was due to a training altercation with Van Hecke in the week building up to their Premier League game against Wolves on May 10.

Pedro has been linked with a big-money Brighton exit, with the Brazilian getting stick from fans for some of his performances. Altercations like this may heighten speculation that this season at the Amex may well be his last.
